EvaluLEAD: A Guide for Shaping and Evaluating Leadership Development Programs

The Public Health Institute and W.K. Kellogg Foundation Present a New
Program Evaluation Approach

Free Download! EvaluLEAD helps leadership programs focus on evaluation

Designed to help leadership programs focus on evaluation, “EvaluLEAD: A
Guidebook for Shaping and Evaluating Leadership Development Programs” is now
available at www.wkkf.org (under evaluation/publications and resources) or
www.evalulead.net. Developed by The Population Leadership Program
(www.popldr.org) and the Sustainable Leadership Initiative, projects of the
Public Health Institute, in partnership with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation,
EvaluLEAD is also funded by the US Agency for International Development.

Topics covered include:
• Specific evaluation strategies according to types and domains of results
• Step-by-step process and tools, based on the experience of 17
organizations, to plan and prioritize a comprehensive program evaluation
• How an open-systems perspective invites deeper understanding regarding
what really works
• Moving beyond linear casual logic

EvaluLEAD offers a framework for evaluating leadership development based on
values, norms, and performance factors. Its co-authors John Grove, Barry
Kibel and Taylor Haas share a new way of thinking about the nature and
purpose of leadership development initiatives and the dynamic contexts in
which they operate.
